Who We Are
Born from a love of honest food.
Step through the door at Slate and you are immediately met with the warmth of a kitchen that has been running since 8:00 am that morning. The smell of freshly ground coffee, the sizzling sound of egg hitting a hot grill, the sight of hollandaise being finished to order. This is not a chain restaurant. It is a kitchen with a heartbeat.
Slate Kitchen and Cafe was born from a simple belief. Great food does not need to be complicated. It just needs to be made with care, using real ingredients, by people who genuinely love what they do. We opened our doors in Town Square, Dubai, and quickly became a go-to spot for the neighbourhood.
The name Slate speaks to our philosophy. A clean canvas. Every day is a fresh start in the kitchen. Every season brings new inspiration. Slate philosophy is built on a simplicity and diversity : the best food comes from the heart. Do not overcomplicate it, do not cut corners, and let quality ingredients do the talking.
At Slate Kitchen & Café, sourcing is taken seriously. Every burger starts with premium beef patties sourced from UAE based Prime Gourmet, while vegetables and key ingredients are delivered fresh daily, never stockpiled in bulk so nothing tired ever makes it to the pass.
Our brisket is slow roasted in-house for 14 hours, then finished in rich brisket gravy for the real meat lovers — tender, juicy, and built to satisfy serious cravings.And then there are the omelets: fluffy, flavour-packed, nourishing, and proudly one of the best omelets in town.
When the weather cools, the menu leans into richer, more indulgent flavours. But one thing never changes — the menu never gets boring. Something new is always cooking alongside the favorites people come back for. Because when a guest comes back a second time, that’s the highest compliment.
